Flavor Testing

A friend brought me a jar of orange marmalade thinking I might be able to use it in a cupcake. I asked my fb followers their favorite orange pairings and the hands down winner was chocolate. Other ideas were cranberry, champagne, almond, and ginger. I opted to go for a dark chocolate cupcake with an orange marmalade, ginger, and cream filling. I then topped it with an orange tinted frosting ball with a stem and a leaf. I'm looking forward to delivering these to my contest winner.

Cake Pop Ice Cream Cones

I've seen lots of fun ideas for cake pops and this one might just be my favorite so far. I'll be playing around with some other ideas in the coming weeks. If you're looking for something fun and a little different for your next gathering, I'd love to create a custom treat just for you. This is a mini ice cream cone topped with a chocolate cake pop, dipped in pink candy melts then decorated with brown candy melts, birthday sprinkles, and a Sixlet candy on top. It was the perfect sweet bite after our potluck last night.

Support Local

Our local theatre group, Pine City Heritage Players, is amazing. The show this summer was "Into the Woods" and it did not disappoint. The set, the costumes, the acting, and those treats during intermission. WOW! :) I was honored to have a cake pop bouquet for preorders and well as a few for purchase during the show. Some theme cupcakes were also ordered for opening night for the cast and I had an ad in the program. It is nice to be able to give back to the community while also being supported by the same.
